Dehradun: The central government has banned the combination of 14 harmful drugs. The banned drugs include cough, headache, fever, body ache as well as syrups like 'codeine' and 'menthol'. Several drugs that go with paracetamol have also been banned. State Drug Controller Tajbar Singh Jaggi said that the Centre banned these drugs on Friday. After this, now orders have been issued by the State Drug Department to ban the medicines. These medicines will no longer be produced or sold in the state. All medical stores in the state have been instructed to return these medicines immediately. Instructions have been given to ensure that there is no sale of medicines in the market from Sunday itself.
