A big news has come out regarding the possible changes in the NEET UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There may be some changes in the NEET UG 2025 exam to be held next year. A high-level committee has been formed to discuss this, whose report is to come by the end of October 2024. Information sought through RTI RTI activist Dr Vivek Pandey had sought information from NTA whether any changes would be made in NEET UG 2025. NTA replied that the issue is being considered, and a final decision is yet to be taken. The RTI also asked whether any meeting has been held for NEET 2024 and NEET 2025. NTA said that discussions are going on regarding this matter. High level committee will decide NTA officials informed that on the orders of the Supreme Court, a high-level committee has been formed, which will recommend changes in the format of the NEET exam. Only after the committee's report comes, it will be decided whether the exam will be computer-based or in pen and paper mode. These guidelines will tell what will be the format of the exam, i.e. whether the exam will be online or will be conducted in pen and paper mode as before.
