Panaji: The Goa government has revoked the permission given to the organizers of the Sunburn Electronic Dance Music Festival to organize the event in the state in December. The government had earlier allowed the organizers to hold the event. This decision of the government was also strongly opposed. Congress had also protested against this decision of the state government on Friday. The government had to bow to the opposition's action and had to revoke the permission given to the organizers. State Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar said that the department has decided to withdraw the permission given to the organizers of Sunburn 2020. He said that this decision has been taken in view of the global epidemic coronavirus. Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar said that we do not want to let the huge crowd gather. This festival was to be held from 27 December to 29 December. A company named Percept Live organizes this event. The organizers said in a statement on Friday that if the situation worsens further with Corona, they are ready to cancel the festival.
