Panaji: In view of the Goa elections, Arvind Kejriwal, CM of The Lily and National Convener of AAP, held a press conference on Tuesday. He made several strong announcements for the state. He said that if the AAP government is formed in the state, everyone will be employed and if not, everyone will be given an unemployment allowance of Rs. 3,000. In addition, Kejriwal announced that Rs 1,000 will be given to women above the age of 18 years. He said, "The problems of farming will be addressed by sitting with the farmers. The tourism sector will be developed in accordance with international standards. Electricity and water will be provided free of cost 24 hours a day, as well as roads will be repaired.'' The AAP convener explained, 'If our government comes to power, we will work on the ground rights within 6 months. Allowances to unemployed persons will also be done vigorously. We will work here with mines.' He added, 'There are elections on February 14 and the people of Goa are very excited. They feel this time the real change will come. Earlier people did not have the option, once the BJP and once the Congress was coming. This has upset people and now they want change.' It may be recalled that the Election Commission has announced the dates for the Goa Assembly elections. 40 assembly seats in Goa will go to the polls in the same phase. Goa will go to the polls on February 14 while results will be out on March 10. In Goa as well as in four other states of the country, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Punjab, votes will be cast on March 10.
