Gehlot-led cabinet meeting today ahead of Assembly Session on July 14

Jaipur:  A meeting of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot-led cabinet is scheduled to take place in Jaipur on Wednesday at 6 pm. Following the cabinet meeting, a meeting of the Council of Ministers will also be held.

During the cabinet meeting, the Bills that are planned to be introduced in the upcoming session of the State Assembly on July 14 will be discussed and approved. Some of the Bills to be discussed include the anti-cheating Bill, University Bill, and Social Security Pension Bill, among others.

It is worth noting that the 2nd-grade teacher competitive examination for General Knowledge in 2022 was cancelled in December after the question paper was leaked. The exam was rescheduled for January 29, which led to controversies surrounding the Gehlot-led government.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced that the Rajasthan government plans to expand the coverage of the social security pension scheme to 15 percent. Additionally, a bill will be introduced during the upcoming assembly session to ensure that no future government can discontinue the scheme. Gehlot stated, "Social security pension should not be stopped, and we will increase it by 15 percent every year. We will enact a law regarding this in the upcoming session of the Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha, which starts on July 14."
