Guntur: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted interim bail to Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP (Telugu Desam Party) leader, N Chandrababu Naidu, in a case related to skill development for a duration of four weeks. This bail was reportedly granted on the grounds of his health. According to High Court Advocate Sunkara Krishnamurthy, "Andhra Pradesh High Court grants interim bail to Former Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for four weeks, in the skill development case." During the hearing, the court emphasized, "Considering the painful and pressing nature of the petitioner's reported health conditions, and without delving into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to grant interim bail solely for the purpose of allowing the petitioner to undergo the necessary medical examination." The court noted, "The medical report clearly indicates that the petitioner requires cataract surgery on his right eye. Therefore, it is a reasonable proposition to permit him to seek treatment at the same hospital where he had the surgery for his left eye." In granting this interim bail on health grounds, the court has also directed the former Chief Minister to appear before the Superintendent of the central prison in Rajamahendravaram on or before November 28. As part of the conditions, N Chandrababu Naidu has been instructed to provide the Superintendent of the Central Prison with details of the treatment he received and the hospital where he was treated, all enclosed in a sealed cover at the time of his surrender. Naidu was arrested on September 9 in connection with allegations of misappropriating funds from the Skill Development Corporation.
