Dehradun: Tragedy struck Uttarakhand on Sunday morning, claiming the lives of four individuals in a devastating accident. The incident unfolded in the picturesque district of Bageshwar, where a car tragically plummeted approximately 250 meters from the roadside, sending shockwaves through the local community. Among the victims were two brothers, adding a poignant layer of sorrow to the already heart-wrenching event. The accident occurred around 4 am on the Reema-Gharamghar motor road near Chidag, according to Bageshwar Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Kailash Negi. Responding swiftly to the distress call, both the police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) sprang into action, rallying support from nearby residents to aid in the rescue operation. Despite the valiant efforts of all involved, the injuries sustained proved fatal, with the victims succumbing to their fate upon arrival at the hospital. The loss reverberated through the community as the identities of the deceased—Kamal Prasad, Neeraj Kumar, Deepak Arya, and Kailash Ram—came to light. Particularly poignant was the revelation that Neeraj and Deepak were siblings, underscoring the devastating toll of the accident on familial bonds. In the wake of the tragedy, the families of the victims, hailing from the village of Dofad, were plunged into grief as they grappled with the sudden and profound loss of their loved ones.
