Jammu Kashmir: Common entrance examination for nearly 3000 Agniveer aspirants was held at an Army school in Badami Bagh Cantonment of Jammu & Kashmir's Srinagar. The written test was held for the post of technical, clerk or store keeper technical, general duty, and tradesman from the districts - Srinagar, Baramulla, PulwamaAnantnag,Shopian, Ganderbal, Badgam, Kupwara, Bandipora and Kulgam of Jammu & Kashmir and Kargil and Leh from Ladakh. Applicants who passed the physical and medical examinations during the recruitment rally at Haiderbeig Pattan from September 17 to September 30 were given the exam on Sunday, November 13, an official said. According to the PRO Defence Srinagar, the results of the exam, which was administered in accordance with the Chinar Corps' guidelines, would be posted on the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. No candidates will receive a separate letter announcing their results. The PRO has instructed the applicants to review their results and come into the Army Recruiting Office in Srinagar on the third day following the results' announcement for additional paperwork. Following the release of the CEE results, the Army Recruiting Office Srinagar will collect original documents from the chosen candidates so that they can be verified with the relevant Jammu and Kashmir authorities. By December 31, 2022, the selected individuals must report for training, it was noted. On June 14, 2022, the Union Cabinet approved the "Agnipath" recruitment programme for Indian youth to join the three services of the Armed Forces. The youth selected under this programme will be referred to as "Agniveers." Agnipath enables determined young people who are patriotic to serve in the military for four years. The Agnipath programme was created to provide for a more young profile in the armed forces.
