New Delhi: With immediate effect, Alex Hales has announced his retirement from international cricket. The batter for England has ended a nearly 12-year international playing career. Hales made his England debut in a T20I match against India in August 2011 and has since played in 75 T20Is, 70 ODIs, and 11 Tests. His greatest success came in the T20 format, where he excelled with his aggressive playing style and in 2012 came within one run of becoming England's first-ever T20I century.
