Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Congress Working Committee member Sachin Pilot's election affidavit has revealed that he has separated from his wife, Sara Pilot, marking their official divorce. The declaration of 'divorced' next to his wife's name in the affidavit filed after his nomination as the Congress candidate from the Tonk assembly seat is the first confirmation of their divorce. Sachin Pilot and Sara Pilot had a love marriage in January 2004. Sara is the daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and senior National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, and she is the sister of Omar Abdullah. The couple has two children, named Aran Pilot and Vihaan Pilot. Rumors of their separation initially surfaced in 2014 during the Lok Sabha elections but were dismissed as mere speculation at the time. However, Sachin Pilot's recent election affidavit has now officially confirmed their divorce. It's noteworthy that during Sachin Pilot's swearing-in ceremony as Deputy Chief Minister in December 2018, Sara Pilot, their two sons, and Farooq Abdullah were all in attendance, projecting a united front at that time.
