Education Ministry set target to fill vacant posts of teachers by March 2022

New Delhi: The Ministry of Education has set a deadline of March 2022 to fill vacant teacher positions at Central Universities. The majority of universities are moving quickly to fill the vacant position before the new academic year of 2022 begins in April.

According to Ministry sources, a dedicated team within the Education Ministry is overseeing the entire process of filling the vacant post in Central Universities.

"The Ministry of Education has also given orders to fill the backlog of vacant reserve category posts in all central educational institutions by September 2022 at all costs," according to sources. Following the directives of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, a large-scale drive to fill vacant positions has begun.

"The Education Minister had given orders to fill these positions by November 30, but it was postponed due to a process to fill the positions. It has now advanced rapidly "according to sources. There are over 50 central universities in the country, with over 6,000 teaching positions unfilled.
