Dehradun: Social Welfare and Transport Minister Chandan Ram Das left the government house due to 'Vastudosh'. Now he is using this government house occasionally only for office-related work. The minister has taken a house on rent for himself in a housing society in the Race Course.
Vastudosh is being told as the reason behind leaving the government house. Acquaintances of the minister say that ever since the minister came to this government house, his health problems have increased a bit. R-04 Kothi is allotted to Chandan Ram Das in Mantri Colony located in Yamuna Colony. Due to the negligence of the officers of the Social Welfare Department, the departmental minister Chandan Ram Das was also made to do the dirty work. On the basis of the figures received from the department, the Minister told the number of old age pensioners was around 7.40 lakh, while the number of disabled pensioners was more than 4 lakh. While this is not the correct number. The same situation happened on the matter of increasing the Divyang pension from 3 thousand to 8 thousand.
At present, Divyang is given Rs 700 till the age of 18 and Rs 1500 per month upon attaining adultness.
