He danced to the catchy Bollywood song “Tauba Tauba” from the film Bad Newz, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri. Dressed in a traditional kurta, pyjama, and shawl, Garcetti embraced the spirit of the occasion. Garcetti expressed his appreciation for the celebration, highlighting the importance of Diwali and the role of Indian Americans in strengthening US-India relations. “What a beautiful celebration of Diwali at the White House! This Diwali marks the last celebration for Joe and Jill Biden as President and First Lady of the United States. Together, may we show the power in the gathering of light.” During the Diwali event, President Biden addressed the attendees, acknowledging the significant impact of the South Asian American community on American life. “The South Asian American community has enriched every part of American life…. Yours is the fastest-growing and most engaged community in the world...
