Delhi University issued revised guidelines amid the uproar of coronavirus. The university had to take this stricter as the state is in an alarming situation with rising COVID cases. The official announcement has been made with guidelines was released on April 3rd,2021. Students of Delhi University to avoid any physical presence at their respective institutes. In the new official guidelines, the university's circular read "All the students are advised to stay at home/ hostel and avoid physical presence for their academic work to libraries, laboratory, etc. unless very essential work will continue, with proper Covid 19 precautions which include thermal screening at gates with a valid identity proof along with the purpose of visit to the University campus, social distancing, prohibition of spitting in the public places, etc. and wearing a mask is made mandatory. Entry will be restricted inside the Faculty of Arts, Hostels, Science as no outsider will be permitted inside." Recently, the St Stephen's College of Delhi University notified about students and two staff contracted with novel COVID-19. The University has also canceled the booking of a conference center and seminar hall for any functions till further notice. Further decisions will be made after the observation of 10 days. The University of Delhi urges all the Colleges, Departments, Centres, and Hostels to remain vigilant to handle the covid situation.
