Delhi Police raids house in Jahangirpuri, links related to terrorists

New Delhi: After the arrest of two suspected Khalistan-backed terrorists from Jahangirpuri, a Muslim-dominated area of the country's capital, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has now raided the Bhalswa dairy area and recovered hand grenades from a house. The raid was conducted at the behest of Jagjit alias Yaqub and Naushad, who were arrested from Jahangirpuri.

According to the report, the Delhi Police is interrogating the two terrorists arrested under UAPA, Jagjit alias Yaqub, a resident of Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand, and Naushad, a resident of Jahangirpuri, on a 14-day remand. During the investigation, the two terrorists took the Special Cell team to their rented house in Shraddhanand Colony under Police Station Bhalswa Dairy on Friday night. During checking of the room, two hand grenades have been recovered from there.

Along with this, the FSL team has also found traces of human blood from the house where the raid was conducted. The FSL team has collected blood samples for examination. Police suspect that these two accused had killed someone inside this room, but so far no information has been revealed regarding the deceased. Let us tell you that before Republic Day, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had claimed to have foiled a big conspiracy by arresting two suspected terrorists from the Jahangirpuri area. During the arrest, the police recovered 22 live cartridges along with three pistols from their possession. Delhi's Jahangirpuri is the same Muslim-dominated area where a procession taken out on Hanuman Jayanti in 2022 was attacked.
