Delhi Police came into action, uprooted the tents by detaining the wrestlers sitting on the dharna

Delhi Police arrested the wrestlers who were marching from Jantar Mantar towards the new Parliament House. Delhi Police has also removed the tent of wrestlers from Jantar Mantar.

It is being said that the wrestlers, who have been protesting at Jantar Mantar since April 23 against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, had announced a peaceful march to the new Parliament building. The wrestlers left for the new Parliament building at 11.30 am as per schedule. The Delhi Police had put up barricades to stop the wrestlers.

The wrestlers, who were on their way to the new Parliament building, broke the barricades. Police arrested some wrestlers, including Sakshi Malik. The wrestlers were adamant on taking out a peaceful march to the new Parliament building. The wrestlers asserted that it was their right to take out a peaceful march and also accused the Delhi Police of calling it anti-national. When the police arrested Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik, they sat on a dharna on the road. Earlier, Vinesh Phogat had released a video alleging that all the leaders coming to attend the Women's Mahapanchayat have been arrested by the police.
