New Delhi: A 26-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by a neighbour and his friends in front of his brother following a dispute in the Moti Nagar area of the national capital, police said on Sunday. Police have arrested five people, including a juvenile, in connection with the murder. Four persons have been arrested in connection with the incident and a juvenile has also been detained, police said on Tuesday, adding that the deceased has been identified as Balram, who had multiple stab wounds on his stomach, chest, legs and hands. Police said Balram was earlier a taxi driver and was unemployed for the last two months. The incident took place on Monday night when Balram and his neighbour Bunty and his accomplices got into an argument, police said. The dispute escalated so much that Bunty and his associates attacked Balram with knives and also fired at him. DCP (West) Ghanshyam Bansal said that after getting information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and found that Balram had been taken to ABJ Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have recorded the statement of a witness, who is the brother of the deceased, in which he alleged that there was a dispute between his brother and Bunty and his friends, who attacked Balram with a knife and fired at him.
