Delhi police arrested 4 culprits for blackmailing a student through obscene VIDEO

New Delhi: A case of cheating and robbery has come to light in the Shahdara area of the country's capital Delhi in the name of making an obscene video of a young man by befriending him through a dating app and making it viral. Shahdara police have registered a case in this regard and arrested four accused. The arrested accused Vikas Kumar, Anshu Kumar, Ashutosh and Shivam Kumar have been arrested along with Rs 5,000, a scooty and a mobile, and a bike used in the crime.

Deputy Commissioner of Police R Sathya Sundaram informed that the 20-year-old college student lodged a complaint with Shahdara police station. In his complaint, the victim said he came in contact with youth on the gay dating app Blued on November 3. The two became friends and started talking. On November 8, the two met near Durgapuri Chowk. From where the other young man took him to a room. There, he found three more youths who made obscene videos of the two youths already in the room.

After making the video, the accused threatened the victim student to give them money or else they would put his video on social sites. When the victim refused to pay the money, the accused sent Rs 12,700 to their account from Paytm in his mobile and fled with his mobile and scooty. Inspector Sanjeev Verma SHO Shahdara police station team has registered a case and started an investigation.

The police team traced CCTV footage, CDR of the mobile number mentioned by the victim and location history. The police found the location history of the accused to be active mostly in Ashok Nagar in northeast Delhi. With the help of CCTV installed on the spot, the police checked the route of the victim's scooty and recovered the scooty from outside a house in Ashok Nagar. The house belonged to the accused Shivam. The police arrested Shivam. After questioning Shivam, the police also nabbed the remaining three accused from their house.
