New Delhi: Police have arrested four accused in connection with the lynching of a pregnant bitch by nearly two dozen students and staff of Don Bosco Technical Institute in Zakir Nagar, Okhla, Delhi. The video of this gruesome incident went viral on social media. Delhi's Okhla area is considered to be Muslim-dominated. Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Amanatullah Khan is the MLA from here. According to the report, the police have said that the four accused are students of the Don Bosco Institute of Technology and were seen in the viral video. According to police, some videos had surfaced on social media in which a pregnant bitch was being beaten up. Police said that, during interrogation, the accused said that they were upset with her barking at them so they beat her up, after which the bitch died. Delhi's New Friends Colony police registered an FIR in this regard on November 20 and started an investigation. According to the police, a video was becoming increasingly viral on social media. It was heard in the video that one boy was asking the other to kill the bitch. Although, the bitch is not visible in that video, but the sound of her agony was heard, while in the second video, a boy is seen dragging the bitch. Delhi Police had registered an FIR under sections 429 and 34 of the IPC and section 11(1) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 at the New Friends Colony police station on the basis of a complaint.
