Sikar: A major accident took place near Patan in the Neemkathana area of the Sikar district of Rajasthan late on Saturday night due to mining. Due to the excavation here, a large part of the mountain was destroyed. Due to this, the cars parked under it and the labourers working were buried underneath. Neemkathana police and administrative officials rushed to the spot and started the relief work. Initially, it is believed that 3 labourers were buried in this mine. The bodies of two of them have been recovered. One of the injured was and has been sent to the hospital. According to police, the accident took place in Rela village of the Patan area. One of the persons who died in the accident has been examined as Subhash Gurjar, a resident of Dilpura village and the other as Ravi Meghwal, a resident of Bharatpur. Police have kept the bodies of both of them in the mortuary. At present, the work of removing stones is going on continuously on the spot. Only then will the cars and machines buried underneath be removed and the whole situation will be clear as to how many people were below. In the preliminary information, it has come to light that this lease is allotted in the name of Gajendra Singh. The accident is said to have taken place around 11 p.m. Now the police are investigating who was doing the mining here. Why was mining taking place at night without safety standards?
