CBSE has announced the revised the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam date. The teacher eligibility test will now be conducted on January 31, 2021 at 135 cities across the country. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced that the CTET exam will be held on January 31, due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Earlier, the CTET exam was to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in July but it got postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. CTET is held twice every year, first in July and second in December. CTET is a recruitment test conducted by CBSE. CBSE in its statement said that “Every effort will be made to accommodate candidates in the cities opted by them but if the situation arises, they can be allotted any city other than the four cities opted by them,". The new exam cities are Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/ Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar. CTET Admit Card 2020-21 will be released about three weeks before the conduct of the exam in the second/third week of January 2020-21. Earlier, the admit card was scheduled to release in the third week of June but was postponed due to the postponement of the CTET 2020 exam. Once released, candidates can download the CTET admit card 2020 from the official website of the exam - ctet.nic.in.
