Panaji: The annual academic session in Goa commences on the week of June, but this year it has been delayed due to Corona outbreak. The state education department was hoping to start the 2020-21 academic year by 15 August. Suresh Amonkar said in a conversation with the media, "We are hoping that by September at least we should be able to start schools." "Even if we start school, it will be a shocking step. Although high classes like the twelth will start earlier, he said that students in higher classes are able to maintain physical distance as per the guidelines". Amonkar said that schools have been asked to start online classes for students, but due to issues related to connectivity and gadgets, the number of students for such classes is low. The government has already ordered that teachers should help students who are not able to participate in online classes. Amonkar said that "The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has decided to reduce the syllabus of the new academic year by twenty-eight percent". He said that if there is more delay in starting schools again, the syllabus will have to be reduced further. Why do stock/share prices change?
