The government said in a new set of guidelines that schools and hostels will reopen for all classes beginning April 5 for the new academic semester. The School Education Department's standard operating procedure (SOP) must be properly observed in all schools and dormitories, it stated. Colleges for students in the last semester will reopen immediately, while offline classes for students in other semesters will be permitted beginning in July for the new academic session. All places of worship were also allowed to remain open during the day and evening hours by the government. There was no longer a limit on the number of people that could attend. It also stated that churches are permitted to convene general conferences or assemblies, as well as prohibiting communal feasts during worship sessions.
