Panaji: Congress has released the third list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Goa. Nine people have been fielded in the list of 40 state assembly seats which are going to polls on February 14. Earlier, Congress had released the first list on December 17, while the second list was released on January 9. The names of eight candidates were announced under the first list, while seven candidates were fielded under the second list. The party's third list includes Meghashyam Raut from Bicholim, Aman Lotilkar from Thivim, Michael Lobo from Kalaangute, Vikas Prabhudesai from Porvorim and Anthony L. Fernandes from St. Andre. In addition, Dharmesh Sagalani from Sankelim seat, Lavu Mamlekar from Markaim, Prasad Gaonkar from Sangam and Janardhan Bhandari from Kanacona have been nominated. In Goa, the election contest is set to take place this time, as apart from the Congress and the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also set to enter the fray. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) is also contesting in Goa this time.
