Congress Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Ex-President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma on Death Anniversary

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Congress leaders in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, gathered to honor the late former President, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, on the anniversary of his passing. The leaders paid their respects by garlanding his statue at the Ret Ghat intersection. Among those present were prominent figures such as Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari, AICC in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Jitendra Singh, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, and Deputy Leader of Opposition Hemant Katare.

Jitu Patwari shared, "On the death anniversary of Madhya Pradesh's pride, former President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, we honored him by laying flowers at his statue site." Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also expressed his tribute, acknowledging Dr. Sharma's noteworthy traits of grace, simplicity, humility, and scholarship.

Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma served as India's ninth president from 1992 to 1997. Prior to his presidency, he held the position of the eighth vice-president of India and served as the ex-officio chairman of the Rajya Sabha from September 3, 1987, to July 24, 1992. His legacy continues to be remembered and honored by leaders and citizens alike.
