Congress Leader Murdered in Telangana; Suspect on the Run

Telangana: In a tragic incident on Tuesday morning, a local Congress leader was fatally stabbed in Jabithapur village, Jagtial district, Telangana. The victim, identified as 58-year-old Maru Ganga Reddy, was reportedly attacked by unknown assailants, raising concerns about political rivalries in the area.

According to police reports, Maru Ganga Reddy, a close ally of senior Congress leader MLC T. Jeevan Reddy, was knocked off his motorcycle by a car driven by the attackers. Once he fell to the ground, one of the assailants exited the vehicle and stabbed him multiple times, leading to his death.

In response to this shocking crime, local Congress supporters and villagers staged a protest at the old bus stand in Jagtial town, expressing their outrage over Ganga Reddy's murder. Ganga Reddy had previously served as a member of the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) and was well-regarded in the community.

The police stated that a rivalry between the deceased and the suspects may have motivated the attack. Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene, and law enforcement is actively pursuing an investigation to apprehend those responsible.

The victim’s body has been transported to the Government Headquarters Hospital in Jagtial for post-mortem examination as authorities continue their inquiries into this disturbing event.
