Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister took a jab at the Congress party, remarking, "It is not the BJP's fault if the bridegroom fled before the wedding," in reference to its Indore candidate withdrawing at the last moment. Addressing a BJP rally in Betma, Yadav compared the situation to inviting guests for a wedding feast only for the groom to leave before the ceremony. Akshay Kanti Bam withdrew his nomination on April 29, the last date of filing nominations, dealing a blow to Congress's aspirations before joining BJP. Yadav criticized Congress for allegedly encouraging voters to press the NOTA button on polling day, calling it an "insult" to democracy. He further remarked, "If someone's child runs away from home, whose fault is it? They are your children, you should take care of them." During a roadshow in Indore supporting BJP candidate Shankar Lalwani, Yadav referred to the INDIA bloc as "ghamandiya" (arrogant) alliance, citing an episode from the Ramayana where he mentioned, "These arrogant people were born in Lanka 17 lakh years ago during the time of Lord Ram. Due to the bankruptcy of their intellect, they posed as fake saffron-clad (monks) to abduct Sita." He urged the people of Indore not to "cross the Lakshman Rekha" under any circumstances, drawing from the Ramayana narrative. Regarding Congress's decision to opt out of contesting the Khajuraho Lok Sabha constituency and leaving it for their INDIA bloc partner Samajwadi Party, Yadav suggested it indicated Congress's fear of elections.
