CM Jagan calls for action plan to fill up 8,928 posts in AP

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Reddy announced on Friday that the state government filled 39,654 vacant posts in 2021-22, as well as providing permanent jobs to 1.26 lakh employees in Village/Ward Secretariats and bringing 50,000 RTC employees into the government by merging it with the APSRTC.

At the CM Camp office, the chief minister held a review meeting on the job calendar and directed personnel to fill the remaining vacancies. They were also given until the first week of July to prepare an action plan on police recruitment. The chief minister also requested that they fill openings in the medical and health departments by the end of June, associate professor positions in higher education by September, and APPSC postsby March.

He said, the state government has spent a significant amount of money on health and education. If vacant positions are not filled, there will be little advantage. He urged officials to establish strategies for the recruitment of teaching jobs in the higher education department, including regular and contract jobs, to be transparent and effective.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to draught an action plan for police recruiting and stated that recruitment should be done on a regular basis.
