Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has said that people who have been living on the land of Got, Khaton and Van Panchayats for years should not worry unnecessarily about the encroachment campaign. The government is removing the insignia erected in government lands under the guise of religion. CM Dhami said that on Friday morning, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu has been instructed to make arrangements for the encroachment campaign properly. He said that some guidelines have been set regarding encroachment, action is being taken under that. The intention of the government is not to harass anyone. He said that those who have occupied forest land within a few years or who have erected symbols under religious garbage, are coming under the purview of removing encroachments. He said that there has been a demographic change in Uttarakhand in recent years. People living in places where this sudden change has occurred are being verified.
