HYDERABAD: K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), the President of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) and Chief Minister of the state, unveiled the first list of BRS candidates set to contest in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. The list covers 115 out of the 119 seats in anticipation of the elections later this year. KCR himself will be vying for positions in both Gajwel and Kamareddy constituencies. In a press conference, KCR revealed that the party's manifesto is scheduled to be released on October 16 in Warangal. He expressed his optimism by stating that the BRS is projected to secure a substantial victory, aiming to capture a range of 95 to 105 seats out of the total 119 in the assembly. KCR affirmed the continuation of the alliance between BRS and the AIMIM led by Asaduddin Owaisi, who represents Hyderabad in the Lok Sabha. Following the candidate announcement, BRS MLC K Kavitha, the daughter of Chandrasekhar Rao, conveyed her thoughts on the matter via a post on the platform X (formerly known as Twitter). She highlighted that the selection of candidates underscored the populace's confidence in her father's dynamic leadership and BRS's effective governance.
