Jaipur: In a significant development, the police have made their first arrest in the brutal murder of Rajput leader and Karni Sena chief, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, at his home. The arrested individual, identified as Ramveer, is accused of aiding the shooters, Rohit and Nitin, in escaping the crime scene by transporting them on his bike to Ajmer Road. Ramveer, who resides in the same village as one of the shooters (Nitin), was apprehended by the police. The shocking incident unfolded on December 5 when Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was having tea with four men at his Jaipur residence. Suddenly, in the midst of their conversation, two of the individuals stood up and fired indiscriminately at Mr. Gogamedi. The entire gruesome episode was captured by CCTV cameras, leading to widespread protests in Rajasthan. The murder of the Rajput leader, known for his association with Karni Sena, triggered significant unrest in the region. The incident occurred amid a political transition, with the BJP recently winning the assembly elections and displacing the incumbent Congress government.
