As Jharkhand goes ahead for assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to kick off its 'Parivartan Yatra' (Change Rally) against the government led by Hemant Soren. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will officially launch this campaign today, September 20, from Bhognadih in Sahibganj.
The 'Parivartan Yatra' will take place from September 20 to October 3, covering 5,400 kilometers across all 81 assembly constituencies in 24 districts. The BJP's mission is to liberate the people of Jharkhand from what they call a corrupt and ineffective coalition government formed by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress.
The party's slogan for the yatra is, "Neither will we tolerate, nor remain silent, we will bring change." The BJP aims to highlight the shortcomings of Hemant Soren's administration and is determined to expose the alleged failures of the JMM-led government.
Amit Shah will inaugurate the yatra in Sahibganj, which will consist of six separate rallies across different divisions of Jharkhand. Each segment of the yatra will start on various dates, with the entire campaign designed to confront the failures of the current administration.
