The attendees included four of the five richest men in the world. Starting with the world’s three wealthiest individuals who were at the multiple events held at the inauguration in the morning- The world’s richest, Elon Musk who is the CEO of Tesla and a net worth of a whopping $433.9 billion. He is a close confidant of Donald Trump who spent around a quarter of a billion dollars for the latter’s presidential campaign helping him win the November election. Followed by Jeff Bezos, the Amazon founder with a net worth of $239.4 billion, according to Forbes estimates and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg with $211.8 billion. Among the others, there was Apple’s CEO Tim Cook ($2.2 billion) at the capitol Rotunda, who donated money for the inauguration. Marking his presence, was Bernard Arnault ($179.6 billion), the richest person of France and head of the Louis Vuitton empire with his son Alexandre. Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India who has a net worth of $98.1 billion was present at the inauguration events with his wife Nita Ambani. Phil Ruffin ($4.7 billion), a Las Vegas Casino executive who is a friend of Trump was also an attendee, as per the New York times. Other billionaires whose attendance wasn’t confirmed include Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong ($12.8 billion), Stephen Feinberg ($5 billion), Warren Stephens ($3.4 billion) among others. Not to forget, Donald Trump himself is a billionaire with an estimated worth of $6.7 billion, owing to his stake in Truth Social’s parent company, the real estate investments and other assets. The Trump’s inaugural fund could raise $170 million, this is three times higher than what ex-President Joe Biden could raise. Some supporters also threw parties around Washington marking the inauguration weekend. The donations allowed for tickets to the donors at the events.
