The first and second-year students of BHMS, BPT and BDS have objected to the proposed exam schedule under which their exams will start from the first week of November and continue till first week of December, in some cases. Their main objection is that Diwali falls in between and it will spoil their celebrations. They have demanded that the exams be started after Diwali. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the exams of medical courses are now running six months late. The university is planning to conduct the exams as soon as possible so that the session can get back on track again. Recently the university has declared the time table of exam for students pursuing Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The exams for BHMS students will be from November 6 till November 28 and exam of students pursuing the other courses will end in the first week of December. The students requested that exam be started after Diwali. Some also proposed that exams should be conducted after November 20, so that students can get time to go home for Diwali and come back. The exam controller Ashesh Tiwari said that the exams are already late. He said, "If we extend the dates of examination the schedule of the session will be affected". According to him the students' demand is not yet rejected.
