Agartala: There are reports of Tripura's Communist Party-Marxist leader Pabitra Kar being attacked by a group of miscreants at Khairpur's residence. CPI-M veteran leader and former Minister of State Pabitra Kar alleged that the attack was carried out by goons of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
It is noteworthy that after attacking the leader's house, the miscreants also allegedly attacked 3 journalists when they visited Pabitra Kar's house to cover the case. The miscreants attacked the journalists at the same time. Pabitra Kar has alleged that when a meeting was going on at my residence when the miscreants supported by the ruling BJP attacked them. At least 20 CPI-M activists, including women, have been injured in the attack. The condition of 3 of the injured is stated to be critical.
The three CPI-M activists who were seriously injured are Shubha Kumar Deb, Ratan Das and Pinak Das. The seriously injured have been hospitalized in a fire tender. Please tell that many bikes and other party vehicles have been damaged in the attack. After getting information about the incident, paramilitary force personnel along with police personnel of the local police station reached the spot and controlled the situation.
