Agartala: In a collaborative effort, Assam Rifles, in conjunction with the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) and Axis Bank, has introduced the Sentinel Centre for Educational Excellence, Skill Development, and Community Awareness in Teliamura, Tripura, officially inaugurated this Friday. This initiative stems from a commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as stated in an official release. The project's overarching goal is to offer comprehensive, residential educational opportunities and coaching programs at zero cost, supplemented by wellness modules. These resources are aimed at supporting underprivileged children, enabling them to gain admission to esteemed colleges and universities after completing their 12th-grade education. The formalization of this endeavor occurred through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) involving the DIG of Assam Rifles (Agartala Sector), representatives from Axis Bank, and NIEDO. The signing ceremony took place in Agartala, graced by the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha on October 2. The Commandant of Assam Rifles Battalion spearheaded the commencement of classes at the Teliamura Garrison during the inaugural ceremony today. This marks a significant step toward providing quality education and skill development opportunities for the region's underprivileged youth.
