Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has apologised to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. He said he had nothing to do with the MLAs' rebellion. However, the Gandhi family has also expressed displeasure with him. They believe that MLAs cannot take this step without Gehlot's consent. According to sources, central observer Mallikarjun Kharge was in Jaipur for the legislature party meeting on Sunday. Meanwhile, Ashok Gehlot has apologized to him. Terming the parallel meeting of MLAs and their rebellion as a mistake, Gehlot said it should not have happened. He also said that he has nothing to do with it. Kharge, however, reacted to it, saying such a rebellion could not have been possible without Gehlot's consent. It is being told that Ashok Gehlot is going to submit his nomination for the election of Congress President. Amid the ongoing political crisis in Rajasthan, potential candidate Kamal Nath reached Delhi and met Sonia Gandhi. According to media reports, Kamal Nath has been quoted as saying, 'I am not interested in the post of (Congress) president. I have come only to wish Navratri.'
