A senior Health Department officials has released a data on the COVID-19 cases. The total corona cases in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 61,247 after 455 additional patients tested positive for the illness on Friday, up from 261 the day before. According to the source, the State had 194 instances on Thursday. The death toll in the state has risen to 285 after one woman died of the virus in a local health facility. The 60-year-old woman died of COVID Pneumonia and cardio-respiratory arrest, according to State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa. According to the official, there were 142 new cases in the Capital Complex Region, 33 in Lohit district, 31 in East Siang, 27 each in Lower Subansiri and Lepa Rada, and 26 in East Kameng district. According to the SSO, 57,630 people have recovered from the ailment, including 431 on Thursday, putting the state's recovery rate at 94.09 percent. There are presently 3,332 active cases in Arunachal Pradesh. The Capital Complex Region, which includes Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, and Banderdewa, has the most active cases (1,412), followed by West Kameng (208 cases), Lower Subansiri (185 cases), Lower Dibang Valley (167 cases), Papumpare (164 cases), and Lohit (153 cases). The state had tested a total of 12,33,348 samples, including 2,062 on Thursday, according to the official, with a positivity rate of 22.06 percent.
