Apple Vision Pro 2 to Feature M5 Chip, Expected Between Late 2025 and Early 2026

Apple is preparing to release the next generation of its Apple Vision Pro headset, expected to arrive between late 2025 and early 2026. According to a recent update from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the updated device will feature the new M5 processor, along with several internal improvements, while maintaining a similar design to the current model.

The company plans to first introduce the updated Vision Pro before launching a more affordable version, which is not expected until at least 2027. This delay is due to the view that simply creating a cheaper version would not significantly impact sales expectations.

Apple is also exploring the development of "smart glasses," a concept that has already been demonstrated by Meta. This move could expand its offerings in the mixed reality market.

The second-generation Apple Vision Pro is expected to generate excitement with its upgraded features, right at the beginning of the M5 chip's lifecycle. However, a completely new version of the device is not anticipated until after 2027.
