Vizag: On Monday, Andhra University's Dr. VS Krishna Library began the digitization of palm-leaf manuscripts. Vice-chancellor Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy, speaking on the occasion, stated that the process will not only aid in their preservation, but also in transferring the ocean of knowledge from these manuscripts to the future generations. "For this project, Andhra University selected an expert team. Prof Reddy added, "We also want to make these manuscripts available to the public through the Andhra University website." The university has about 2,663 palm leaf manuscripts written in five languages, according to administrators. Meanwhile, on Monday, Andhra University's Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy hosted a webinar on "Caste Census among BC Communities in India: Strategies for Inclusive Development."
