Chandigarh: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi during an election rally in Badshahpur, Haryana. He termed Rahul Gandhi as a "lie machine" and said that the Congress leader is making the allegation that the Agniveer scheme has been created because the government does not want to give them pensionable jobs. Shah clarified that the purpose of the Agniveer scheme is to keep the army young. Addressing the public, Shah said that people should not hesitate to send their sons to the army, because after five years no Agniveer will be without a pensionable job. Along with this, he pointed to the incident of raising slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad" on Congress platforms in Haryana and asked why Rahul Gandhi is silent on this. He said that the Congress has become blind in appeasement and questioned the policy of Rahul Gandhi and his party regarding Kashmir, saying "Is Kashmir ours or not?" He also said that the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi are talking about bringing back Article 370, but even three generations cannot bring it back. Referring to the sacrifices made by the youth of Haryana to protect Kashmir, Shah assured that their sacrifice will not go in vain. Apart from this, he also discussed the Waqf Board law and said that efforts will be made to fix it in this winter session.
