Uttar Pradesh: Quarantined Doctors ate meals worth 50 lakhs in 28 days

Aligarh: During Corona, many cases are coming up from different states of the country. Due to quarantine in a hotel in the Aligarh district of UP, the matter of eating food worth 50 lakhs by doctors has been disclosed. This staggering case has come to the fore in the board meeting of COVID-19 cases held in the Commissionerate on Tuesday. In the Divisional Review, the officials of the Health Department put forward a bill worth Rs 50 lakh. 84 doctors eat food in 28 days, all the officials including the Additional Chief Secretary Dr Rajneesh Dube were present in the meeting.

Additional Chief Secretary Dr Rajneesh Dubey, citing the mandate, refused to pay the food bill of Rs 50 lakhs eaten by 84 doctors in 28 days. He said that he can pay 50 rupees per meal. At the start of the outbreak of COVID-19 in the district, a team of doctors was called from Lucknow and other areas at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College.

The doctors were quarantined in the hotels. On March 20, 42 doctors of the first batch were isolated for 14 days at Hotel Palm Tree and Vikas Hotel. Thereafter, 42 doctors of the next batch stayed at Hotel Galaxy and Hotel Ali Inn. Rs 50 lakh has been spent on Doctors during 28 days. According to this, every doctor spent about 2126 rupees per day. Now there is a scuffle between JNMC, health department and administration regarding the payment of this bill.
