New Delhi: Entrepreneur Ashneer Grover and his wife, Madhuri Jain, encountered travel disruptions at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Thursday as they were stopped by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police. This intervention occurred days after the EOW issued a lookout circular (LoC) against them in connection with a financial fraud case. The incident unfolded at Terminal 3, prompting Grover to share the experience on social media, where he explained that he had not received any communication from the probe agency until Friday. "I was going to the US from November 16-23. At immigration, they said LoC laga hua hai sir - EOW se check kar ke batate hai [Look out notice has been issued and will update you after checking with EOW]. I found it strange as I have traveled four times internationally since the FIR was filed in May - never been a problem, and I had not even been summoned once. The flight left in the meantime anyways - EOW folks directed Immigration to let us out so that we can return home," he said. The 41-year-old entrepreneur revealed that he had "not received any communication or summon from EOW since FIR in May till 8 AM today on November 17 morning (7 hours after returning from the airport)." However, Grover confirmed that the EOW summon was delivered to his home on Friday morning. "Will cooperate as always," he added. Grover, along with his relatives, faces accusations of using fake invoices to divert over Rs 81 crore from BharatPe's accounts for payment of commissions related to recruitment work.
