The 40th annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) began today in Abu Dhabi, drawing global attention to the latest advancements in energy and artificial intelligence (AI). The four-day event, themed “Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy,” is set to welcome over 184,000 visitors and features more than 2,200 exhibitors, including national and international energy companies. Hosted by ADNOC, ADIPEC 2024 places a strong focus on the role of AI in transforming the energy sector. The event introduces innovative perspectives from finance, technology, the Global South, and young leaders, all aimed at fostering a sustainable, secure, and inclusive energy future. India's Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, inaugurated the Indian Pavilion and joined the Global Leaders and Energy Transition Ministerial Panel. During his address, Puri highlighted India’s strides in clean energy, showcasing advancements in AI-driven refinery automation, seismic survey technology, biofuel production, and green hydrogen initiatives. A notable feature this year is the AI Zone, branded as Energyai by ADNOC, where companies like Microsoft, Baker Hughes, and Accenture are demonstrating AI-driven solutions for emission reduction and energy efficiency. This zone includes the Creative AI Lab, interactive demos, and a dedicated AI conference. ADIPEC 2024 runs through November 7, serving as a key platform to discuss sustainable energy solutions and technological progress. Delivering Innovations and Insights at ADIPEC 2024 This year, ADIPEC introduces the Energyai zone by ADNOC, a dedicated area where tech leaders like Enercap, Accenture, AIQ, Microsoft, and Baker Hughes will unveil AI-driven solutions designed to meet energy demands and reduce emissions. The Energyai zone includes the Energyai Conference, Creative AI Lab, Reskilling Lab, networking spaces, demo stations, and an interactive AI showcase, providing attendees with direct exposure to the latest innovations and collaboration opportunities within the energy industry. With an expected turnout of 184,000 attendees from 164 countries, ADIPEC 2024 is set to be the largest event in its history. The conference will feature over 1,800 speakers, including 40 ministers and 200 top executives from regions such as the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. More than 16,500 delegates will participate in over 370 sessions, covering ten conference series, including the main Strategic Conference. This platform will unite global business, political, and industry leaders to outline a balanced and inclusive path for the future of energy. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, ADIPEC 2024 aims to offer transformative insights to guide the energy sector's future. To ensure smooth access for all participants, a Park-and-Ride service will operate every five minutes between Zayed Sports City and ADNEC from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from November 4–7, 2024.
