Lucknow: A helicopter has crashed in Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Two people were onboard the helicopter. The pilot of the helicopter has died in the accident, while the other person is still missing. Police teams including officials have rushed to the spot on the incident. Relief and rescue operations are currently underway. There is a case near Sanjarpur village falling under Saraimir police station area. The helicopter is said to be private, though the helicopter has not been confirmed to be private or government at present. According to media reports, the accident occurred due to inclement weather. The villagers rushed to the spot after hearing the loud sound of the crash. The case was then reported to the local police. Police have started searching for the other person on board the helicopter. According to the report, the helicopter took off from Varanasi airport. The victim of the accident is said to be of the rank of a General.
