Kota, Today, Carcasses of nine peahens were found in Nainwa forest range area in the district. The peahens are suspected to have been poisoned by people of Kanjar tribe who consume the bird's meat. Digvijay Gupt, District Forest Officer (DFO), Bundi said, "the actual reason for the death would be ascertained only after the postmortem report". Vishnu Sharma, president of Nehru Yuvak Mandal reported the incident. He saw the carcasses scattered infront of the state-run girls school in Samedhi village. "The birds may have been poisoned by poachers belonging to Kanjar tribe who dwell around the area in makeshift tents", he added.
