Lucknow: A tragic incident took place in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night. A gas cylinder exploded in a house in Tikri village under Gonda district, killing 8 people tragically. The explosion was so severe that the threat of the blast echoed across the area. 14 people have been rescued and 7 injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Administrative officials of the district rushed to the spot soon after the incident was reported. Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar said that rescue operations are on at the spot and the entire case is under investigation. Police suspecting that there may be more people in the debris. According to police information, the owner of the village house where the blast took place also had a licence to make crackers. As soon as the incident news reached to CM Yogi Adityanath, he also expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the gas cylinder blast accident and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He has directed the authorities to expedite relief and rescue operations and provide proper treatment to the injured.
