The much-awaited schedule for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy was unveiled on December 24, 2024. The prestigious tournament will feature 8 teams and will kick off on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with the final scheduled for Sunday, March 9, 2025. As previously announced by the ICC, India’s matches will be held at a neutral venue, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
The tournament begins on February 19, with hosts Pakistan taking on New Zealand in Karachi. One of the key early matchups will see Bangladesh face India on February 20 in Dubai. Other exciting contests include Afghanistan playing South Africa on February 21 in Karachi, followed by Australia facing England in Lahore on February 22. The much-awaited clash between Pakistan and India will take place on February 23 in Dubai.

Format of ICC Champions Trophy-2025: The tournament will follow the same format as the 2009 edition. The 8 teams will be divided into two groups of 4 teams each. Each team will play one match against every other team in their group in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group, based on points and tiebreakers, will move on to the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will compete for the title in the grand final.
Total 15 matches will be played, including the knockout rounds.
